The Commissioner of State Revenue has updated Public Ruling DA000.19.3.

This public ruling sets out the terms of an administrative arrangement to provide an exemption from transfer duty, landholder duty or corporate trustee duty for certain transactions or acquisitions occurring as part of an eligible pharmacy business complying with the ownership and interest requirements under the Pharmacy Business Ownership Act 2024.

The updated ruling clarifies the operation of certain conditions, extends the availability of the exemption to transfers and redistributions of interests in certain circumstances and reflects amendments made to the Pharmacy Business Ownership Act.
