Frequently asked questions
You’ll have to contact us to change your login details—that is, the:
- email that you used to set up your account
- phone number for 2-factor authentication
- email in your QRO Online contact card.
Otherwise, see how you can update other contact details in QRO Online.
To log in to QRO Online, go to qroonline.treasury.qld.gov.au.
You’ll need the email address and password that you used to set up your account.
We use 2-factor authentication to verify it’s you. When you created your account, you would have chosen either phone-based or time-based authentication. Enter the number that was sent to your mobile phone (phone-based) or the number generated by your authenticator app (time-based).
Contact us to change the authentication method.
We have step-by-step instructions and video tutorials to help you to create an account and verify your identity. Make sure you complete all steps, otherwise QRO Online may not work correctly for you.
- You’ll create an individual account using your email address.
- Do not use a shared or generic email address. This will protect your confidentiality.
- You’ll need a mobile phone for 2-factor authentication. It’s best to use your own phone, not a shared phone.
- You’ll need 2 valid Australian identification documents (e.g. driver licence, Medicare card). If you don’t have these, you can still work through the steps and select the option for manual verification.
- Once your account is set up, you’ll create a contact card so that you can link to or access other accounts (e.g. the company you work for, a superannuation trust).
If someone is creating an account so they can work on behalf of your company, it’s important that they don’t use a shared email address or mobile phone. You could be inconvenienced if that person leaves your organisation.

After you’ve created your individual or personal QRO Online account, you can link to other accounts that you manage for other people, companies and trusts.
First, you’ll create a contact card. This helps others find you to give you permission to access their account.
We have step-by-step instructions and video tutorials to help you.
After you’ve successfully linked accounts, you’ll select View accounts (from the home page) to see the list of accounts you have access to.
To access your personal account, select a tile (e.g. My land) below the ‘QRO Newsroom’.
