Transfer duty estimator

This estimator will help you find out how much transfer (stamp) duty you may need to pay.

On this page:
This tool is designed to help you determine how much transfer duty you may need to pay. It does not replace the formal application and assessment process and is not a substitute for professional advice.
    • To claim one of the home concessions or the vacant land concession, there are specific eligibility criteria you must meet.
    • Provided you qualify, you can claim a concession on your interest (or share), whether or not other acquirers also qualify for a concession. Not every person acquiring the property needs to qualify for a concession or apply for the same concession.
    • For two or more acquirers, the calculations can be complex, so use the transfer duty calculator to see what you might pay when there are mixed and multiple concession claims.
    Use this tool only where:
    • there is 1 transaction
    • none of the buyers are foreign persons (including companies and trusts) for the purposes of additional foreign acquirer duty.
So that we can give you an estimate, we need to understand a few details of your circumstances. Answer the questions below.
