- none of the buyers are foreign persons (including companies and trusts) for the purposes of additional foreign acquirer duty.
Temporary residents and home concessions
Changes to transfer duty home concession eligibility are included in the State Budget.
Buyers purchasing a home, first home or vacant land on which to build their first home in Queensland will be required to be Australian citizens, permanent residents or specified foreign retirees
to be eligible for a transfer duty home concession.
This will apply to transactions entered into from 1 August 2026 (inclusive).
