    Card surcharge to be removed

    From 1 October 2026, a surcharge will no longer apply to card payments.

    There will be no surcharge on card payments made from 1 October 2026 for:

    • state taxes, duties and royalty
    • fines
    • SPER debts.

    It may take some time for all our notices to be updated to remove the surcharge warning message. However, if your payment is made on 1 October 2026 or later, a card surcharge will not be applied.
