Infringement notice is a notice issued for an offence committed. This can take the form of an on-the-spot ticket, or a notice sent by email or post. They are issued for various offences, including camera-detected offences (e.g. speeding) and failure to comply with demand notices for overdue tolls. You get 28 days to act on the fine before it’s registered with the State Penalties Enforcement Registry (SPER) for collection.
Camera-detected fines are issued for an offence detected by a camera. These are issued to the registered owner of the vehicle for speeding, red-light, mobile phone, seatbelt and other offences.
