2026–27 self assessor education program
5 August 2026
We are pleased to announce the launch of our transfer duty self assessor education program for 2026–27.
Under this program, you can register for webinars where we take you through key information to help make self assessing easy.
Our first session was on the 2026–27 State Budget changes to eligibility for transfer duty home concessions. From 1 August 2026, buyers purchasing a home, first home or vacant land on which to build their first home will be required to be Australian citizens, permanent residents or specified foreign retirees to be eligible for a home concession. To watch the webinar, go to the self assessors news hub.
In the coming months, we will be holding webinars on the essentials for registered self assessors including:
- what you can and can’t self assess
- how to endorse documents and lodge transactions online
- your obligations as a transfer duty self assessor
- tips to streamline your transactions
- the available resources—toolkits, tutorials, calculators, interactive help.
Also, we will be sharing regular emails on topics of interest and updates, based on the enquiries we receive from self assessors every day.
Whether you are new to the world of transfer duty self assessment or simply interested in refreshing your knowledge, our 2026–27 program will provide valuable insights to strengthen your assessing practices and set yourself up for success.
Keep an eye on your inbox for our upcoming updates.
