Pay your land tax in full
You have several options to pay land tax.
You can pay your land tax in full by the due date of the assessment notice.
The payment options are shown on your land tax assessment notice.

Pay online using BPOINT or call 1300 803 545 and follow the prompts to pay by Visa or Mastercard.
Credit card payments must be more than $10 and less than $50,000. A non-refundable surcharge of 0.4818% applies.
We do not accept:
- Amex (from 1 April 2025)
- prepaid gift cards
- prepaid credit cards.

If you need a refund of an incorrect payment or overpayment made from a credit card, it can only be returned to that same card—and the card must still be valid.
Your land tax assessment notice contains the BPAY information.

You can set up a direct debit from your bank account in QRO Online. To do that, you must first have set up a QRO Online account and verified your identity.

Otherwise, complete a direct debit request form and send it to us by:
- email to qrodebt@treasury.qld.gov.au
- post to Queensland Revenue Office, GPO Box 139, Brisbane, QLD 4001.
Pay by electronic funds transfer using the following details:
- Biller code for land tax: 625178
- Account name: Commissioner of State Revenue Collection Account
- Account number: 1000 0935
- BSB: 064-013
- Bank: Commonwealth Bank of Australia
- Reference: payment reference number from your assessment notice.
- SWIFT code: CTBAAU2S (for payments outside Australia).
You must use the correct payment reference—if you don’t, your payment may not be processed correctly and unpaid tax interest (UTI) or penalties may apply.
You must:
- include a printout of the assessment notice
- pay by cleared funds (e.g. bank cheque, credit union’s or building society’s own cheque, solicitor’s or accountant’s trust account cheque)
- make the cheque payable to ‘Commissioner of State Revenue’
- post the cheque to Queensland Revenue Office, GPO Box 139, Brisbane, QLD 4001.
Unsigned cheques will be returned and unpaid tax interest will accrue until full payment by cleared funds has been received.
Mail delivery times can affect when your cheque is received by our office—this may result in unpaid tax interest.
Some land tax clients will receive several land tax assessment notices—at the same time—for different financial years.
You must pay each notice separately. Use the correct payment reference from each individual assessment notice—if you don’t, your payment may not be processed correctly and unpaid tax interest (UTI) or penalties may apply.
