King’s Birthday public holiday

Our office will be closed on Monday 2 October for the King’s Birthday public holiday. We will reopen on Tuesday 3 October from 8.30am.

New and updated public rulings

The Commissioner issued 2 new public rulings and updated 5 other rulings. These rulings relate to the introduction of new land tax and additional foreign acquirer duty (AFAD) concessions for eligible build-to-rent (BTR) developments.

Build-to-rent concessions

Build-to-rent (BTR) concessions were recently introduced for land tax and additional foreign acquirer duty (AFAD). The AFAD concession is available now, and the land tax concessions will be available for the 2024–25 land tax assessment year.
