When settlement is delayed
Make sure you let us know if settlement is going to be delayed.

You’re all set for settlement. Everything is lodged and in place when something unexpected happens.
Sound familiar?
When a settlement is delayed, make sure you let us know. You can do this by sending an email to selfassessment@treasury.qld.gov.au to let us know the new settlement date.
Even when a settlement date changes, some things stay the same:
- The due date and unpaid tax interest (UTI) start dates cannot be changed.
- UTI and late payment interest (if applicable) will continue accruing until payment in full (including all interest) is received.
The original transaction cannot be cancelled due to delayed settlement. If the transaction has come to an end, refer to Public Ruling DA115.1 Transfer duty—cancelled agreements
Did you know you can check your transaction details in QRO Online?
Simply click the Summaries tab and click the Transaction statement summary link. Here you will see all due dates and the total outstanding liability (including interest).
