Use a personal email address

  • You must use a personal email address to create an individual account in QRO Online (e.g. mary@company.mail).
  • Do not use generic or shared email addresses (e.g. accounts@company.mail).
  • Each account must be individually verified.
  • Using a shared account means that your personal information will be accessible to anyone who logs in using the shared email address.

Once your account is created, you can then link to a company or trust to lodge returns or transactions and make payments on its behalf.

Land tax

If you can’t see the My land and View accounts tiles, it might be because you haven’t verified your identity.

If you personally own land in Queensland, you’ll be able to access information about your landholdings (once you’ve verified your account). This doesn’t mean you owe land tax—it just means we have identified land held in your name.

To find land tax:

Royalty

If you can’t see information about your royalty operation or resource authorities, it might be because you aren’t registered as the authority client.

If you personally hold an interest (or share) in a mining or petroleum resource authority and you are the registered royalty client, you’ll be able to access information about your royalty operation and resource authorities.

Select:

Before you can give someone else access to information and records in your QRO Online account, you need to create your personal account and verify your identity.

To add accounts (for another person or a company or trust), you need to create a contact card. Then you’ll be able to link to another account.

See the steps to link to accounts for other people, companies and trusts.

Assign access and permissions

Before you can give access to other people (e.g. another staff member or the company accountant), you must have permission to manage a company or trust account.

Once you have permission, you can assign access to other users. They won’t see your personal information (e.g. details of land that you own in your name).

To assign access:

  1. Select View accounts on the Home screen.
  2. Select the entity.
  3. Select Assign permission from the left menu.

Read more about giving access and permissions.
